White Rose Finance Group is managed and staffed by a group of committed professionals with an exceptional range of skills and business experience. With collective business experience of over 200 years and providing services as we do to a broad range of small to medium sized enterprises, our clients can be assured that there are very few (if any) situations our team have not encountered. Geoff WilsonFounder & CEO

After a 25 year career working at senior level in the IT / Telecoms sector Geoff founded White Rose Finance Group in 2004 and since that time has overseen the growth and development of the business to become a leading commercial finance and debt advisory specialist.

John Kent
John KentManaging Director

Operating for 20 years in Sales & Marketing John completed his MBA at Greenwich University before joining the White Rose Finance Group in 2014. Having launched and hosted the Property Investors Network event at Hazlewood Castle in York in January 2012, John remains active in the local property market.

David Fine
David FineNetwork Support Manager

David graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Management Science in 1993. He then went on to travel and work around the world, 4 years in Hong Kong, 4 years in Spain and 3 years in Tel Aviv eventually returning to his family roots in Yorkshire and starting with White Rose Finance in 2006.

Karen KentHR & Project Director

Karen’s professional background includes extensive experience in finance and banking, including a number of years with Lloyd’s bank followed by a successful career with HR specialists Croner Consulting. Having operated as a commercial finance broker and set up and run her own holiday letting business while bringing up a young family Karen is also extremely adept a juggling a very busy schedule.

Jan Fox
Jan FoxPractice Manager

I joined the management team at White Rose Finance Group in June 2019 as the Practice Manager. As a qualified AAT accounting technician, I have a strong depth of accounting knowledge, coupled with over 25 years of working within a diverse number of business sectors from education to insurance and accountancy practice,  I bring a breadth of accounting, administration and HR experience to the position.

Simon BurkeOperations Manager

Simon oversees our business operations day to day, with a focus on lender relationships, deal processing, inbound communications, and compliance.  Joining the business in 2021 having previously managed a mid-sized operation within a commercial banking environment.

Phil CoatesRelationship Manager

Having worked in business banking for 7 years at a couple of high street banks, Phil ventured into the commercial bridging world but after being made redundant in 2020 Phil joined WRF where he assesses and submits commercial finance cases that are sent into WRF from the network and direct.

Matthew McCarron-ShipmanRelationship Manager

Starting in High Street in Personal banking then moved into business banking I have 12 years’ experience in finance sector, bring these experiences into the world of brokers. At White Rose He manages the network’s commercial submissions and placing deals with the right lenders.

Scarlett Benson-Collinson
Scarlett Benson-CollinsonCase Co-ordinator

Scarlett joined the team late October 2018, starting as an administrative apprentice. With five years in customer service, as a hotel receptionist.

Kieran EverardRelationship Manager

Kieran has joined us from a bridging finance lender where he worked for 3 and a half years. Prior to this Kieran spent a number of years with a well-known packager in the Midlands and also various roles with RBS & Natwest. With lots of experience, Kieran will slot into our Relationship Management team supporting our partners on their commercial enquiries and helping to package transactions for lender submissions.

Catherine BaleTraining & Support Advisor

Catherine has joined us in the role of Training and Support Advisor, working within our regulated mortgage desk. Joining us from Bluestone Mortgages, Catherine has worked in a number of roles from broker to mentor with a spell as an underwriter thrown in for good measure! After her training, Catherine will take on responsibility for file checking and mentoring for our regulated mortgage network as well as our own internal mortgage desk.

Lee Hesketh
Lee HeskethBusiness Development Manager

Lee Hesketh, an extremely experienced and pro-active regulated mortgage and protection advisor.  He has enjoyed roles with major high street banks, leading estate agents as well as other key employers in the region.

Marcus FosterBusiness Development Executive

After graduating his university studies in Business and Marketing, Marcus began work with a digital marketing agency before then moving to White Rose Finance in 2018.

As Business Development support for the Brokerplan Network, Marcus’ role entails advising Partners with lead generation, social media strategy and relationship building.

When he’s not working with Partners on generating business, Marcus enjoys visiting the pub with friends, watching Netflix crime documentaries and taking his Shih-Tzu’s for long walks.

Hannah Christie-Mileham
Hannah Christie-MilehamBusiness Communications Associate

Hannah joined the company in 2017 and currently works in communications, assuring that our partners are supported from day one during their business set-up, to ongoing assistance and business enquiries.

Joe NewtonBusiness Development Associate

Joe joined the team in October 2020 as a business development associate after graduating with a first-class marketing management degree from York St John after 5 years in customer services. He primarily works to support the business development team with outbound communications, creation of marketing materials and managing partners enquiries

Becki LambertOffice Administrator

Becki joined the team in January 2020 starting as an office administrator, providing support to staff members and network partners. Becki previously worked as a Lettings Consultant/Negotiator for 6 years.

Tom HowardAdministrative Support

Tom completed a Diploma in Business administration Level 2 in an office in York working for a home care company. After completing his apprenticeship, he then went on to work for an agency doing a large variety of jobs working throughout the lockdown.

After his experience working for the agency, he then dedicated himself to find an administrative role, which is when he came across the Kickstart scheme who introduced him to White Rose Finance.

Andy BoycottTraining Facilitator

Following 20 years running a small business, I have worked for various large organisations in the role of Learning & Development Manager. More recently working for a multi-national company as an area Franchise Development Manager, supporting a large partner network.

My responsibilities are to facilitate and develop training across the business. Ensuring all learning interventions are fit for purpose, giving the needed support to our growing partner network.
